Amateur Radio

Licence exams

• Number of entrants --- 1
  • That happened. We don't know if he passed yet because Advanced.
• Scheduling for practical work --- N/A
• Next exams: Fri 6th May, deadline: 22nd April.
  • Applicants: Arihant for Advanced, David Young for Intermediate, Freddie for Advanced, Mohit for Foundation, Josh for Advanced, Caroline for Foundation.

Stock of people who need to pay for club kit used

• Should be a book with the money tin to see what is outstanding

• Can people upload any club photos taken within the past two years to the WordPress site

• Confirm layout for back of card and dimensions

Science and Engineering Family Day report

• Our usual demos --- PiSSTV, HF rig with Graeme's End-fed Zepp
• New demo --- morse code stuff, with morse key and IC-7000, let people sign their names in morse and then pick them up on the FT-920.
• Murray forgot his netbook
• Morse code worked really well
• Plan for computers with audio input
• Composite monitor could have been cool (for radio screen output)
• Arihant has an idea to get a load of ECS societies to join in a mini treasure hunt or something, with a small prize if they collect clues at all of them.
• HF contest going on
  • We got quite a few contacts (just giving out points)
    • South West Russia, Finland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy
