Large HF Station

This recipe if for a larger HF station which can be operated from a the grass outside susu.

• Setup: approx 45-60 minutes
• Pack-down: approx 20-30 minutes
• Suitable locations: Campus, Common(With much effort), Further afield (With van)

Ingredients

• HF antennas such as
  • 20M end fed Zep antenna
  • dipoles
• Mobile operating station
  • FT920
  • 64Ah battery
• IC7000
• PL259-PL259 Coax cable
• Gazebo

Setup instructions

1. Wheel flightcase and other kit out to the grass area outside susu
2. Simultanuousy do the following
   1. put up Gazebo
   2. Deploy tables from flight-case and setup kit
   3. setup radios
   4. String endfed zep or dipole between two trees with one end of coax connected.
3. Connect Antenna and battery to radio.
4. Operate.
