FT-101 Restoration
The club owns an all-bands HF valve rig, the FT-101EE. While it does work, it is in a relatively poor state. Among problems that have been noted are that the frequency drifts more than expected for a valve rig during transmission, and that the input and output frequencies are significantly offset.
Valve rigs are cool, and also likely to be what people on a student budget will be able to afford when it comes to HF rigs (especially at rallies, etc.). Therefore, it would be nice if this were fully working and in a good, presentable state.
So, let's try to restore this rig.
