Outing (to be) held from 14:00 on 2012/07/07 - 14:00 on 2012/07/08 in/on location to be confirmed

This is the page for the 2012 VHF National Field Day.

Our application, specifying bands, callsign and location, has to be in by Friday 29th June.

Location

A location suggested by Chris G3WIE is a lay-by on Lanes End Down (Google Streetview), Ted G3XUX uses this location to run a 4m net on Sunday mornings and says it works well, unfortunately the site is unsuitable for any guyed mast.

Ted has suggested that we could approach 'The Milburys' (website) a pub near to the first site with a small field out of the back that is advertised as available for Club meetings and would work well for putting up the mast. There would also be a good nearby source of food and drink!

Bands

Phil can borrow radios and antennas for 2m and 70cm, however coax is not known.

Chris ) can bring a 4m FM radio, however has no antenna.
