This Weeks Talk

Introduction to Amateur radio and SOWN.

Southampton University Wireless Society welcomes all to find out amateur radio. Amateur Radio is the hobby of using designated frequency bands to communicate with other licensed Radio Amateurs around the world. This can be for experimentation, training, competition, or just a good chat with someone thousands of miles away!

We'll also introduce SOWN (Southampton Open Wireless Network) which provides eduroam coverage beyond campus and aims to develop an infrastructure for both learning and research into networking and wireless technologies.
