Amateur Radio

Licence Exams

• Next Full date:
  • Thursday 30th January
    • Week after the University exams
  • Applications need to be with the RSGB by 8th January.

• People wanting to take exams:
  • Muzer wants to take the advanced.
  • Chris Oakes
  • Ricardo
  • Morse is a maybe, if he reads the book
  • Russell (not until March 1st)

• Next Junk sale will be SARC in February/March

Space Flight Society

• Having a launch Saturday next. Talk to Phil for more info. CANCELLED

HAB/Satellite tracking on Sunday 1st

• Dependent on obtaining cable to run rotator.
• E-mail to go out Friday/Saturday.

Loaning kit

• If it's inventoried.
• Linked to their member page.
• Questions raised about permanent storage. Until we have a shack everything is in limbo.
• Similar concept to the SOWN @ Home node agreement.
  • scorpia to add fields to the inventory.

Shack

• Possibility of a room in Building 16
  • Phil has spoken to Joyce again recently and she will inquire.
  • Easy roof access to a fenced(need to check) area
  • Existing mast with a weather station

• Now has a mast, but the link doesn't work. :(
